About Teacher Dee
Born Darrion Montay Willis, Teacher Dee is living the American dream. World traveler, teacher, and now author, he has permanently devoted his time to teaching children around the world while discovering the true meaning of life; life as an African-American man. Growing up in Southeast Washington, D.C., Teacher Dee and his four sisters have been able to defy the odds.
He's earned a scholarship graduating from the University of Vermont ('13); with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science & English. With statistics railing against him, he is the first in his family to graduate college. In 2018, Teacher Dee will be a graduate student (online) at Harvard Extension School. He will pursue a Master of Arts degree in English Language &Literature.
He has already been to Vietnam, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Laos, and Thailand. He is an ambassador of his city and children around world who wants access to quality education. In addition to teaching, Teacher Dee loves to dance, exercise, photography and reading non-fiction books.
